Atlanta Rocks! Perimeter

Thank you Atlanta for a great 15 years!

After nearly 15 years in business, the Doraville location of Atlanta Rocks! (Perimeter), the first indoor climbing gym in Atlanta, closed on December 20, 2008. Originally intended to be a test facility to prove the viability of a climbing gym in metro Atlanta, the Doraville gym far exceeded its expected life of 6-8 years. The new owner of the warehouse complex, in which Atlanta Rocks Doraville was located, was unwilling to extend the lease for the Doraville facility on any term other that month-to-month. Obviously, it was difficult to book long term events or plan for future operations without the certainty of a defined lease term. Accordingly, the time became right to say goodbye to our dear old friend.

Atlanta Rocks! Intown gym is unaffected by the retirement of the Doraville gym. In fact, we have just renewed our lease for Atlanta Rocks! Intown for an additional multi-year term!
