Black Mountain

Black Mountain lies west of Knoxville, off of I-40, near the towns of Crossville and Rockwood. From I-40, get off at the Crab Orchard exit, turn south, and proceed for approximately .3 miles. Turn right and the road quickly turns to gravel. Follow it for 1.5 miles to a three-way intersection. Turn left onto a paved road and follow it up Black Mountain. Park at a pulloff a few hundred yards before the radio tower if you wish to climb at the Front Area. For the Back Area, park at the base of the tower.
